Artist Group Book Invitation

Spire & Scribe is a two-person team that has been working in independent publishing for the last 6 years.  We launched our first imprint, Black Dagger Books (www.blackdaggerbooks.com & www.instagram.com/blackdaggerbooks), in 2020 as a bridge for highlighting the fine art aspects within the tattoo artist community.  With over 70 individual artist books to date and currently working on our fifth higher-end thematic hardbound release, we have also recently expanded into launching our imprint, Spire & Scribe (www.spireandscribe.com).

With Spire & Scribe, we plan on a broader library of creatives from different mediums to celebrate while focusing on the limited hardbound releases of individual and group artist books.  We are looking to begin working on our first thematic group book in an ongoing series titled "Visionaries."

With the title of Visionaries, it allows us to be pretty open with the theme in the first volume and evolve as the series progresses.   Current confirmations for this debut release include names of the artists we have worked with, such as Alex Kuno, Mark Rogers, Mike Egan, Adrian Cox, and more.

With that, we would love to have you be part of it as we take the first steps toward curating a roster.   We won't be asking for you to make anything new, so existing work of your choice would be perfect.   Book format will be 8x10" in size, and you won't be required to have pieces of these dimensions, but it may help when choosing imagery of this orientation to fit the layout.  You are also welcome to share multiple submissions and leave final curation decisions for us as we design the layout.

Once confirmed, we can share further details regarding the artwork and the information needed.  July 31 will be the deadline for submission of artwork.
